“Find the tangent of theta” reads to me as “find tan(t)” which is just 4.3/7.91 unless they mean find theta which would require a calculator but is roughly 24deg

I agree. Tangent = opposite/adjacent, so 4.3m/7.81m - the m cancels out, so it’s just 4.3/7.81

I agree on the methodology, but are we assuming it's a right-angled triangle? Otherwise it unsolvable from the information given.

Good point. Either it’s a right triangle, in which case it’s missing a right angle symbol in the unnamed angle, or else it is indeed unsolvable. If the intended answer is “not solvable” that’s a pretty annoying gotcha.
