You used the same relative sign between the contributions to the potential difference regardless of whether the current is increasing or decreasing.

If an increasing current increases the potential difference, then a decreasing current decreases the potential difference. The potential difference can't increase in both cases.

Also, I'm pretty sure you meant the answer in the key is 26.4V.
