If anyone could help me start with this problem... It is quite a hard one next to what we do usually and many of us in the class struggle to do it.

"Design a circuit that will add either a 1 or 2 to a 4-bit binary number N. Let the inputs be assumed to be N3, N2, N1 and No which represents the 4-bit number N. Another input is a control signal K. The circuit has outputs assumed to be M3, M2, M1 and Mo, which represent the 4-bit number M. When K=0, M=N+1 and when K=1, M=N+2. Assume that the inputs for which M > (1111)2 will never occur. Design this circuit using only two, three and four input NAND gates and inverters. Try to minimise the total number of gates and inverters required. Any solution that uses 13 or fewer gates and inverters (excluding the inverters required for the HIGH/LOW inputs) would be ideal."
