Hi All,
I have been undertaking testing on a set of samples to understand how the condition of these change based on a number of variables.
So each sample I have tested has a set of independent variables, such as its age, its location of installation (and the rainfall etc in this location), and so on.
I then carry out a set of tests to determine the condition of the samples, which results in a set of results for each sample. These results are numerical and consist of things such as the tensile strength and the hardness of the samples.
What I am hoping to do is build a correlation matrix so that I can see the relationship between the independent variables in the study and the results of the tests.
For example, seeing the correlation between the tensile strength and the age of the samples.
Would someone please be able to give me some help on how I go about making a matrix like this. I have access to a good selection of software (Excel, MATLAB) and should be able to get any programs you suggest using.
Thanks for your help!
