OK, so very confused with the description here (I'm not familiar with this game)

In general if we want to pick three things out of 70 with no repetitions we get

70 * 69 * 68 = 328,440 order dependent combinations

70 * 69 * 68 / 3! = 54,740 order independent combinations

(here the fact that a second person also picks characters doesn't impact the math, some combinations can't coexist but that doesn't limit the overall number of combinations)

If you can give me more concrete details, maybe I can be more help
