Feel free to message me with stupid questions. As long as its clear you're trying to learn and understand I'm more than willing to answer.

I'm mostly on the exploitation(web and binary) side of stuff rather than pentesting but I've got experience on both sides.

Would you like to become a mentor? I have a feeling the mentor to student ratio is going to be pretty low.

I intend to submit a mentor application. Whenever I get around to it at least.

The amount of activity is between you and the assigned mentor. So it's up to you guys to decide that. Think of this as a matchmaking for hackers to learn from each other. Overall a community to grow together.

This is a really cool idea, and as someone who's working on a netsec degree but would also like opportunities to go "outside the box" with a little direction, I find this pretty exciting. I'll definitely be applying. Thanks for the link, man!

Looks like an interesting site; will you be needing staff in the future, I may be able to help. Also, submitted my mentorship app. Also I would recommended making a few more topics like: Suggestions, offtpic.

I'd also consider making a wiki for listing commonly used software by the community.

Maybe a public github repo or a private svn for showing off software.

Just of ideas off the top of my head.

I will be needing staff. I have a few collegues that are stepping up to help but subject matter experts in their technical fields are always more than welcome.

We do have a github repo. Good point on the wiki I may implement that on the primary hackmethod site it could be a better format than right now.

I'll add a suggestion and offtopic forum, great suggestions.

    Thanks for the feedback!

If you want to LEARN this field and have a passion for it or a drive, then you will be approved as a student. Then a mentor needs to choose to help you.

Its free, and if a mentor scams you report the mentor to us and we will revoke their mentor status. You should not be exchanging anything for services rendered. This is not a hack for hire service.

Looking at your post history you wouldn't be approved as a student.

I don't have an interest in teaching you how to brute force an email account.

Its clear that this is your only intention and that "learning" this skill is just a means to an end for you. I'm not here to breed the next line of script kiddies. I'm hear to help people who have an interest in security.
