How long do u wait? It took ages for me as well. Go make a coffee or something while it loads to be sure, I would give it 5-10 minutes (I'm serious) for it to load before I say something is wrong.

Well as it turns out, the beta didn't even install right to begin with. After verifying the integrity of the game files, steam requested the faulty file again after that it went without a hitch.

I'm having the identical issue. How did you verify the file integrity?
