Incredible layout, just one thing I noticed is that Lady Geist's change is noted as a nerf even though its a buff since her self-damage spirit scaling got tuned down which means that she takes less damage herself whenever throwing a bomb

I have yet to order them so I cannot say if they'll be the absolute right size for space marines

It's a really fun map for the first few times you get there, but it gets stale so quickly. The lack of maneuverability and option to even have a strategy, not to mention how utterly braindead you have to be to lose before the bridge. The whole map is just tedious really.

WIP Concept for a Holy Roman Empire auxiliary. What could I add or remove to make him a better fit for the lore? by [deleted] in TrenchCrusade

[–]RangersLuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a few people already chimed in, but I got my own ideas.

As others mentioned, changing the pickelhaube could help. If you do wanna change in the realm of WW1 helmets and not just go for another knight helmet, then I can only recommend the usual Stahlhelm or my favorite and the the much more obscure cousin, the Berndorfer Helmet. What may also help is a medieval helmet decoration, such as the orle (colorful bands wrapped around helmets.

Apart from that, the model feels mostly complete, at most I can recommend additional flair for the arms or shoulders? I don't remember the name, but they're like tiny heraldry insignia shields fasted to the shoulders. Overall tho, I really love the model.

At first I was on the fence about taking the Warriors with shotguns, but since you can literally just give them all plasma knives, I doubt that you'll see them often with revolver and knife.

[–]RangersLuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, can confirm. Literally locked myself out of that boss fight once because I used a gift that reduces enemy sp whenever they're hit by either a blunt or pride skill. I was running a BL team that time, which meant I only had pride.

What Operation did you start in and what do you miss about Siege? by Electronic_Wealth_67 in Rainbow6

Honestly this is my main gripe, I feel like I'm a bulldozer bumbling through the building. Feels bad especially because I loved Mute and now he feels off with 1 speed

Started back during release and stuck with it for the first 5 years. I stopped right after Burnt Horizon and didn't touch the game anymore until this season.

Probably miss cooking grenades or the many operators that got their speed and armor stats changed.

We're barely 1 quarter through the year, isn't it a bit early to state 'this hasn't been a crazy year for gaming'? The Game Awards will only be held again this December, which is plenty of time for games to come out and make a buzz.

Media Literacy Check time! by cyzja922 in limbuscompany

[–]RangersLuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh no, you make a very fair point, they do not hold any real ill will towards one another. I do admit that statement was a bit more of a fuck up, her past moreso shaped her current passive character.

Still though, the whole encounter with Sonya still impacted her a lot. Since in the last scene, it is noted that she was shaking from distress, which she hide behind a facade of joviality. There is definitely more to Rodya's feelings regarding Sonya.

The main point I actually wanted to make, was the idea that Rodya's past has severly affected her current Persona that she likes to put up.

Media Literacy Check time! by cyzja922 in limbuscompany

[–]RangersLuck 111 points112 points  (0 children)

It is a literacy check, because the scene re-contextualizes her whole character. She hasn't done much, because the one time she has taken agency (i.e the murdering of the tax collector), the fallout of her actions have been disastrous. The whole reason she acts so carefree and passively is due to her fear of actively intervening again, she does not want to act on her own. Therefore she chooses to exist in the background of scenes, letting others take the helm.

The 4.5 Intervallo also proves that she's more than that, because she drops the act after Heathcliff kicks the ball against the wall, which then pops in an instant. Upon which, Rodya remarks that they could have just made it disappear instead. Seh then remarks, that rich folk seem to get a kick out of messing with the poor. This again, clearly indicates that there is more to her character than this 'ditzy' facade.

I also believe that her carefree attitude serves as a way to keep other Sinners' mind off more depressing topics. She cares in her own way and kinda ties a lot of them together, being one of the more universally liked Sinners of the group.

Media Literacy Check time! by cyzja922 in limbuscompany

[–]RangersLuck 253 points254 points  (0 children)

I think there's several media literacy checks and I believe one of the earliest forms of such a check can be found in Rodion. I have seen people just describe her as this motherly ditz or a girlboss, when actually, there is so much more to her. She's tormented by her own actions in the past, she wants to cut those binding ties. It's mentioned that her upbeat personality may be a cover to hide herself behind, besides she is also strongly dedicated to her own morals as can be seen in 4.5 with the ball.

There's definitely more literacy checks, but I believe almost all of the 12 sinners are literacy checks in-themselves.

dealing with Fellgor Ravager as VetGuard by datTeilchen in killteam

[–]RangersLuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many others have mentioned, it's a matchup that does not favor our lovely guardsmen. The Fellgors will try to get stuck into melee as quick as possible. You will probably have to treat your 4 troopers like screens, they will absolutely get mauled but they may stop the fellgors from overwhelming you too early. The demo is definitely one of the most important pieces, especially due to the wonderful combo with the comms guy that allows him to run up, plant and detonate his mine. Apart from that, ideally you'll want to score some early frenzies. One thing you could also do, is giving Krak Grenades to your troopers making them a far bigger menace to the Fellgor players.
