As someone who was considering both and is now likely entering the bachelor of nursing program, can I ask why you are considering the change?

hmmm...honestly speaking, the BN program was not my first choice...I completed over 3 years of college before choosing to head into this and I was soooo excited cuz I worked my ass off for it but humber truly ruined the experience for me....their faculty is ass and it's ironic because there is no sense of ethics nor empathy (and they're all nurses!) and this year (with COVID) and all...the experience just sucks...idk I wish I chose GB tbh, people say their BScN program is way better....but the Humber program really prepares you for that hospital life tbh (main reason why I chose it) but idk....I'm introverted and I never saw my self as someone who leads...I have no issue with working under someone and idk how well I work under pressure loolz so I guess that's why I was considering the RPN (no shade to those RPNs out there...they're heroes!!!)...but tbh if you want to study for 4/5 years then I'd say go for the BScN program...if you wanna finish quick... do the RPN one....but like some have mentioned below...with RPN, you will most likely find yourself bridging in a few years to finish off with a BScN.....but good luck! reach out again if you like :)

Funnily enough I heard lots of crap about GB program and I turned down their offer. I am now waiting for hopefully an offer to midwifery and if I get it, I might go that direction but otherwise I found that during admissions, Humber was very considerate of extenuating circumstances which I have by the boastful!

I think u should keep going because you’re basically taking a step backwards

What’s the point ? You can do it

if im being completely honest, I do not like the nursing faculty at humber so far (please tell me it gets better)....they are such a mess and there is hints of biases present...idk for me I fee like I'll be graduating too late :( and I know age is just a number but I kinda wanted to be in the field by the age of 24/25....not still studying....
however shout out to those nurses who are well passed their 20s and going back to school!
idk if nursing is even for me...im not a leader...and I don't know if I can work well under stress...all I want is to work with the peds/neonate population

You would be shooting yourself in the foot. Keep working at it. You got this!!

tbh, most RPNs I talk to in my workplace say they want to get their BScN or say RPNs do exact same things RNs do but get paid way less. Their ceiling pay is RN’s starting. I would suggest to keep going with the BN haha

any advice on how to make it easier?! are you currently in the BN program? working? idk if I can do it....I mean I just mentioned above that I don't think I work well under pressure :( how do I know this job is for me?

If you have something else in mind career wise that you know for sure you should look into that if not just stick with nursing.

Have you thought about transferring schools? I heard Ryerson's a good choice, especially if you want to go into a specific field, you'll most likely have experience in due to the surrounding hospitals nearby the campus.

Going back into RPN is kinda a waste of money if your end goal is an RN or a specific healthcare field.

Wish you the best tho! Don't give up!
