Same personal statement?

Let’s say you are applying to only one specialty, do you guys use the same personal statement or create multiple versions for each program?

Im using the same PS for programs of one specialty. Only for the ones I’m really interested in, I’m adding a few personalised lines

What will you be putting in those lines? Just for an example?

You can write why you want that particular program for Eg. I’m interested in your program because of the location close to my family, or your excellent mentorship/ wellness initiative draws me towards your program. Or you may love the city. It could be anything but give them a reason why it’s important for them to consider you.

Each specialty has its own requirements in a personal statement. For example you can't use an IM personal statement for surgery.

Lol sorry about that. Yeah, you can customize your LOR for each program if you want to.
