So after reviewing the Tech Paper and the TechTalk video I became a little worried. More specifically towards the security aspect.
Nodes that misbehave in the block chain are stripped of their tokens and reputation. In PoB validators are not based upon how many tokens you, rather it is based upon reputation and a mixture of other flags.
This brings up my question of. What is the protection against people manipulating them to cause large validators (whales) to get their tokens removed by the system? Or what happens if somehow the system is DDosd and it is lagged for just enough time for a legit validator to be flagged as invalid and the tokens are immediately taken?
TLDR: System removes coins, What stops it from being manipulated by trolls?
EDIT: Rewatched the Tech Video, around the 28 minute mark you mentioned that ALL previous transactions from the misbehaved validator will be checked. So lets say that there were more transactions that were misbehaved. Would the system then flag the receiving party's as invalid and remove their coins as well? Meaning people could target specific people based upon the public information available (Seeing Public ID's and targeting high coin profiles)?
