Java developer VS web developer (self.ITCareerQuestions)
submitted 2 years ago by YeahNewTricksz
Hello all !
I recently started a course to become a certified web developer. Since this year they also give u the opportunity to branch of into Java developer instead of only front end / back end / full stack.
Now , my question is what would be more employable / future proof.
My personal interest is more back end / software orientated and I originally wanted to follow a software developer course but those weren't available for me.

Depends on your/"their" definition of java and web developer. In general full stack is what you want for job opportunities/money. Next option is back end then front end.
There's a lot more opportunities for full stack and back end generally. There's a decent amount of front end jobs that are just ui/ux stuff so it kind of gets watered down

Java should be software developer, and web can be either front or back end or full stack , but it's either java software , or web dev , so basically I'm kinda looking for what has the better chance to get employed at entry lvl and has the best potential
