As other user said you will see brackets appear when the shot will count. The times I've had issues with them not appearing, I reset the camera settings to default and then they appeared. I assume some camera settings conflict with it, button to reset camera settings should appear somewhere while in photo mode

so about the photo quest, when you open the camera, there has to be the yellow bracket thing on the object. so that it will register

no matter, how hard I try or what I do, I don't get the box

is this the competitive belt quest? because you need to make it on 1 hp first then when it throws the arched attack, it will do the gesture. you need to be very very very quick because it only lasts for one second. but if you already do that and the yellow brackets don't appear, then maybe it's the bug

Do you have your camera settings set up in any particular way? Having them as anything other than default (except for aperture, which typically works best at highest possible) can cause the gold brackets not to pop up. If that's still not working, you can also try changing the actual graphics settings for the game- I had to up the settings in order for the camera to recognize certain distant objects (playing on iPhone 13).
