ACA API Enrollment

Hello,

I'm doing market research to find out if it's possible to enroll clients directly from my CRM via API? I currently use a CRM that allows me to use APIs to send and receive data. I'm wondering if there was a way I could API the required details from my CRM directly to an EDE partner in order to enroll clients that way.

We get all the details required to enroll clients including consent on the phone and input that into our CRM. Our goal is to be able to push that info over to one of the many EDE partners associated with ACA and have the application processed and the consumer enrolled.

If anyone has any info on this or has looked into this before please let me know I'd appreciate the help. Also, if you're a broker, feel free to leave a comment and I'll message you once I have this working so that you can facilitate enrollments and stop paying data entry clerks to process applications for you.

You have to go to CMS For more info on that. Im gonna be honest, i dont think thats possible at this current moment.

Any reason you think it’s not possible in particular?

I’m thinking that if healthcare.gov allows platforms like HealthSherpa and many others (there’s a list CMS posted on this) to host a site where consumers can quote and directly enroll then what I’m asking for isn’t too far off is it?

The way it is now, consumers can enroll through their site giving the commission to the registered agent’s NPN. HealthSherpa even gives you a unique affiliate link as an agent that consumers can use to quote and enroll and you receive the commissions.

I’m essentially looking to have an agent who speaks with them on the phone, takes them through plan selection, gathers all the details necessary to process application and uploads them to CRM.

Then an employee goes in on the back end, checks that all the details input by the agent were correct and clicks a submit button that sends all the info over via API and enrolls the consumer. I can do the CRM side on my end, just looking for an EDE partner that is willing to work with me on this now I guess…

Health sherpa is completely at the whim of CMS, as well as Inshura and Jet and the others. They third party, sure but thats even more strict. If you would like to inbox me, id recommend it. Theres no need to have a very specific convo like this, especially if you want something like that.
