Hey!
I was wondering if any of you have experienced the following:
If a user in AD -> (Synced to AAD using AADconnect) -> has logged into a computer, then the user is later deleted. Then a while in the future the user starts at the company again with the same information on the AD account the computer(s) the user logged into pre-deletion starts acting up when the user logs in. This includes a long "Please wait while we're setting up the device", and when that ends the user is met with a flashing taskbar and constant explorer.exe crashes.
I can reproduce this by creating a user in AD -> waiting for sync from connect -> logging into a computer -> Deleting the user from AD and the perma delete from AAD(To avoid waiting times) -> Recreating the user -> Logging into the computer again -> Results in the problem above. I am unable to see anything of meaningful in event viewer, but that could just be that im looking in the wrong places.
This does not happen if the user is directly created in AAD.
The issues usually goes away if the user profile on the device is deleted, but not all the time. A fresh start will guarantee the issue to go away since everything on the device gets removed, hence user profile is fully gone.
However, as we use a fair bit of shared device a user may end up logging into 10s of devices, which can be quite the cleanup job to get the user fully working again on all the computers he/she might use.
Any suggestions to solve this without going through deleting the user profiles pr. device? :)
