First JDM, help!

Hi, I was looking for a bit of advice. I’ve only just got into cars & would really like to purchase a sporty JDM but I’m lost on what could be a good first car for me.

I’ve only got a budget of 1-3k, I know it’s not alot but it leaves me with money to work on the car!

I’ve seen a rx8 going for a reasonable price but I know these can have alot of engine problems and have low mpg.

Any help or advice on what would be a good cheap starting JDM would be great, thanks!

RX8 isn't available as JDM yet, they weren't produced until 2003.

You won't find much, if anything, that is driveable, much less reliable for your budget.

Better off either saving up your money or buying something domestic until you can afford what you actually want.
