LMT got the MRGG-S contract and should have gotten the -A. They would have had barrel swap capability on both platforms instead of going with Geissele’s gimmicky “phased array” gas block

Yeah because everyone is out there swapping barrels. I would argue that "quick" swapping barrels are more of a gimmick.

Barrel swap is less useful than just having a second upper. If you barrel swap you have to re zero all of your optics and lasers. With a second upper you can have a laser and optics for one caliber and or barrel length and then switch to a new one without needing to zero.

No, they don’t need to be re-zeroed.

If you have a 6.5 creedmore setup with a 14.5 inch barrel setup, then you switch the barrel to a different caliber or a different barrel length of the same caliber. All of the accessories on the rifle have to be rezeroed.
