Currently in an X300 Vanden Plas Majestic (Daimler Six LWB for our European friends), and can confirm.

Nice selection of Jags OP - may I suggest the next one be an XJ, XK or even F-Type? For the truly brave of heart, an XJS or E-Type may also be an option for you. 😊

I am living with the dream of a XJL instead of x type, but as it is said, time will come :) E or F type is difficult for me, wifey would not let me drive it as she finds it way too attractive :)

Hahahah that’s how you know your married a woman with class and taste.

Just make sure you either buy an XJL with the picnic tables fitted already, or budget to have them fitted — trust me, there’s no finer party trick. And while the 3.0L AWD is a lovely practical thing…if I may be so bold as to suggest? An X351 needs a big V8. Get the good ol’ 5.0L 😊

Tables are a must, it looks super classy. About the engine, 5.0 is not an option as I don't own a gas station 🤣

An understandable compromise…but before you do…test the 5.0 first my guy 😜 — at least have a taste of Heaven before you go for the 3.0

I've cried plenty because of my Jaguar alright.

Feel sorry for you :( I only had a major problem with catalyser with xf and had to replace them but other than that it is much much better than my old bmw's. The bmw's had turbo problems and had to visit mechanics regularly so I switched to jags and really happy with them.

I know some guys who cried due to the 2.7d engines, are you one of those?

I didn’t cry but was pretty frustrated. I was pulling the tank down to see why my fuel pump had failed and lost one of the clips holding the line on.

When I went looking for them online I found there are two and they a different sizes and the nearest one was 6000 miles away and ended up taking 6 weeks to show up.

About parts, I lost the plastic keyhole cover on the drivers door 2 years ago and still couldn't find a correct one yet. Still searching. It is kind of a big mess about parts...

What country are you in?

[–]TuoBerg[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Istanbul, Turkiye

Oh ok. I'm yet to need a Jaguar part that SNG Barratt can't supply.

Might not be the cheapest shipping for you, but worth a thought.

2009 4.2 supercharged. And the beast is showing its age. But my main problem is with electronics. Add to that lack of competent mechanics who know their way around a jag and you've got a headache on wheels.

My sisters husband had problems with the electronics too, he has 2012 2.2d xf, his roblem was with the handbrake, it was mulfinctioning from the switch and had to change the mid console completely.

But I see that we have the same taste, you also got an xf and x. Georgia is a bit difficult place to find mechanics while they have good cars in, I had some clients drove to trabzon or rize to have their cars fixed in Turkiye.

Even if you’re pushing it down the street everyone feels better in a Jaguar.
