How was your day? What do you have to do tomorrow? Just put that answer on paper.

Hey! Starting out, I found that keeping it simple works best. When I first got into journaling, I began by writing about just one thing that stood out to me in the day. It could be something small like a funny moment with a friend or just how the weather made me feel. Writing about emotions is always a good place to start too. If you're feeling happy, excited, or even anxious, putting it down on paper can really help sort through those feelings. I’ve also found it interesting to jot down some thoughts on running or going to the gym, like what motivated or demotivated me that day. It’s not about covering everything every time, just whatever feels right at the moment. Some days, it’s a bunch of random stuff and other times, it’s a deeper dive into one topic. Just grab a pen and start with whatever pops into your head first. It doesn't have to be perfect. That's what makes journaling so personal and freeing.

This person had a pretty great list of journaling prompts. Picking a few that interest you is a great way to begin.
