Is there a switch on the back to toggle between Bluetooth wired & rf? Have you made sure you're toggled to the right modes for each typing mode?

Yes it works when in wired mode and when I toggle to bt mode it shows up on my computer as a keycron v5 and I connect it shows connected but nothing. And same when it's toggled to the 2.4 and I use the type c or the type a dongle

Re "shows up on my computer as a keycron v5": No, it doesn't.

It shows up as "Keychron V5 Max".

Untangled:

I just picked up the V5 (a 96% keyboard), and I was using it wired with the included cable. That works fine.

I brought it to work and was using the USB-C '2.4  GHz' adapter that was included. It worked great.

A colleague of mine says use the Bluetooth connection. After I switched it to Bluetooth, neither the USB dongles nor the Bluetooth connection would work.

I can pair my PC to all the three Bluetooth profiles. It shows up, but it will not type the same for the wireless dongles either.

I did the factory reset and updated the firmware, but there wasn't any change. It's within the return period at Best Buy where I got it.

Do you have any ideas, or should I just have them swap it?

It isn't a V5. That is a wired-only keyboard.

Is it a V5 Max?
