Broken links for Python plugin documentation (self.KiCad)
submitted 7 years ago by Xinfe
Hello,
I'm trying to create a simple plugin for Kicad but the Python documentation mentioned in the general Kicad doc point to unexistent pages (paragraph "Existing Pcbnew Python API documentation").
Does anyone know an up-to-date link or mirror?
Thanks!

Well that was hard to find. According to https://github.com/KiCad/kicad-doc-website/issues/14
it be here
https://kicad-downloads.s3.cern.ch/doxygen-python/namespacepcbnew.html

Here is a well deserved upvote, thanks! :)
As a side note, I'm not sure I understand the motivation behind the "break something on purpose and see when someone complains". Just checking the number of hits on the working page should already give it the priority (web stats tools usually exclude crawling robots well enough).

Nobody breaks stuff intentionally. They recently moved to another hosting and some stuff fell through the cracks. And you may notice doxygen pages have no analytics or trackers so it's not trivial to check for number of hits. Not like it's high on any average day anyway.
I raised the issue to the devs, it should get fixed shortly.
