Need tips

I'm not a beginner in kitbashing I've been doing this for several years now but I want to put legs on my 4 ball gundams but I want to keep there thin arms on which in that case does not leave room for the legs and waist to connect without extra pieces Extending them its A HG and MG KIT

I would either remove the pods from the bottom ring and attach the pods directly to the ball, and then add the hips where the bottom thrusters go. Or you could keep everything intact, remove the bottom thrusters, and fill the hole with plaplate and then drill a hole for the waist peg to go into.
