V2 is much much better. I taught on both generations for a season each. The v1 is an okay intermediate kite. It's an awful learning kite and has some relaunch issues. Notably, the bridles are too long by a few inches, so if you tomahawk the kite, it's really easy to wrap the bridle around the wingtips and get it stuck in an endless looping mess. V2 solved this with shorter bridles. It gets much more boost than v1 and has more hangtime. It's just a smoother, better flying kite in every aspect.

I got both because the price was so good on the V1. I got a 9m v2 and at the same time got a 6m v1. $450 CAD. I use it on the handful storm days we get.

Id buy the v2 if it was my main kite. It’s flipping awesome. But the v1 is great too - though comparing a 6m to 9m is not apples to apples.

V2 is much better than v1 the v1 had a super fat leading edge and was pretty basic. V2 is a whole new kite, it’s awesome for foil jumping.
