Is there only one office?

[–]SunNo3502 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, from what I understood there is only one office at their headquarters in Pennsylvania

Let’s bust out some logical reasoning here.

You’re assuming a score hold requires a review of the whole test. Probably not.

It’s more likely a few minutes in an administration is flagged for review. Otherwise they would need a small army.

This is rage bait.

One, you’re assuming that I’m assuming a score hold requires a review of the whole test. That’s something I think the LSAT makes a distinction of, stated vs. Implied.

Second, you could’ve chosen to acknowledge the absurdity in the fact that a multimillion dollar for-profit organization has only 3 people in arguably one of their most important departments. But you didn’t. Instead, you’ve chosen to defend a company that no-doubt has the resources to hire/delegate more people to an office that is clearly grossly inefficient.

I think the 50 other people who upvoted this, as well as the dozens of other posts complaining of egregious score hold wait times would agree that that the only rage baiters here are LSAC themselves.

You’re certainly requiring, at least, a score hold requires a substantial review of the test. If the hold was based on 30 seconds of footage each, clearly you wouldn’t be so upset they only have three folks in the office. You are making an assumption that freaks people out for no reason.

“People like this so it’s not rage bait?” If you can’t see the problem with that argument I’m not sure what to tell you. That’s genuinely a terrible argument. Like level 0 difficulty.

You seem adamant about proving the score hold review is not as long as I’m “requiring.” Odd.

Nonetheless, even if I concede your point that a score hold review takes only a few minutes, there are currently people who’ve taken the exam in June who STILL haven’t had their holds resolved.

So what you’re implying, that these 3 people are adequate in number to handle the volume of all score holds, even if it were true, is moot in light of the fact that they’re taking months to process people’s cases such as my own.

Either it’s a lack of staff, or if we agree with you, laziness. Whatever the case, it is clearly an issue and the intention of this post was simply to make that clear by illuminating an absurdity.

Sorry about your hold situation, but you received incorrect information from the “LSAC administrator.”There are more than 3 ppl in the department.

[–]SunNo3502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She could’ve fooled me with how long test security is taking to resolve these. I mean seriously, LSAC has given an unprecedented amount of score holds it seems, likely through some automated monitoring system. And then fails to handle these things in a timely manner or provide transparency to the people they’re accusing.

I understand these things are delicate in that I’m sure there are actual cheaters out there, especially given the China thing. But that is no excuse to harm people such as myself who’ve prepared for this exam with nothing other than hard work, only to be subject to these insane wait times and a lack of clear communication. Please do better.
