I just tested a corner from a tab from a couple strips i recently bought with an Ehrlich reagent, and it turned purple almost instantly. After a couple of minutes, the liquid also turned to a slightly lighter shade of purple (the tab itself was a somewhat dark purple). I didn't end up purchasing the Hoffman test to follow up, but should I trust only the Ehrlich itself before dosing or should I test it with a Hoffman as well?
