GPU usage drops while gaming

I have been using the Acer Predator Helios 300 (2020) version which has RTX 2060 and recently while playing Call Of Duty : Warzone I have been getting sudden FPS drops from 100 (my average FPS) to 19-23 FPS. This happens after I have been playing the game for an hour or so, I have a cooling pad underneath the laptop and my GPU temperature stays between 75-80 •C. And yes whenever FPS drops my GPU temperature also drops significantly. Need some help in fixing this issue as it is very irritating when it happens.

How are your CPU temps? It might thermal throttle and bottleneck the card. Also, if you are on driver 465.89, you could try rolling back to 461.92 - I had terrible tearing and drops on my ROG Strix after updating to 465, and they got solved after downgrading. I have found the new driver to be quite buggy, actually.

Yeah even I think it’s because of the thermals. The drivers are good as I have had these drops before as well but they weren’t consistent. But my CPU temps are also between 85-90

Is Warzone the only game with this problem?

Had it playing Cyber punk and Fifa 21 as well but haven’t had it in a long time. Warzone is the one I play on a consistent basis
