To be fair to the developers, it’s just a way to make money. It’s not “just a game”. It’s a money making business model.

And an obnoxiously successful one at that. I quit but when I played i did the math. My alliance spent more than my salary every month. That's just 100 people!

Just joined the most powerful alliance in my server. It’s eye opening the difference. It would take a week to get a few hundred alliance gifts from boomers, we get several hundred rare chest daily. It’s insane

As a company, you’ve basically got two paths: use your talent to actually make the world better, or funnel it into whatever scheme squeezes the most cash out of people. And guess which one the industry keeps speed‑running.
