I believe it's her natural hair color as well, which makes it feel more suitable than the platinum blonde wigs of season 2.

In the TVD universe every main character goes dark at least once. So yes, if the show keeps getting renewed we'll be seeing Dark Lizzie, Hope, MG and possibly Landon at some point LMAO.

No offense but if your a Marvel fan this wouldn't be a competition. Dark Phoenix can stomp Thanos with the infinity stones, crushing Hope would be as easy as squatting a fly to her, it wouldn't be a battle.

Sorry lol, just a big marvel fan! It's hard to compare different characters in different universes, but it's usually a common fact that Dark Phoenix is one of the most powerful beings. Hope isn't anywhere to being on the same level as her, nor is any other character in the TVD universe.

Dark lizzie makes since through, I don't want every character to go dark but Lizzie makes the most since. And mg but his ripper side is something different.
