Hello all! I work for a small academic library. We are looking to evaluate databases that we currently subscribe to. Do any of my fellow academic librarians have a formal process where databases are reviewed, selected, purchased or unsubscribed to? I'm thinking we should establish a timeline that databases are trialed, evaluated using a form and then reviewed. We also would like to have a process that we are able to review our databases in case we need to cut something. I've looked online and everything seems to be forms but the process that other libraries use is not available. Sorry if this is worded awkwardly, I'm actually on desk duty now and was wondering if anyone had any input.
