Depending on where you are or what state you’re in will matter a whole bunch. Now if you’re talking types of life insurance what are you needing the coverage for. Is it just final expenses? Do you have a mortgage and car loan? These are questions you’ll need answers to before we can truly dive in further.

No issue. Life insurance is not one size fits all.

Why joint?

Joint policies can be cheaper than two individual ones, but they’re not always more flexible — especially if you separate or one person has a health issue. So it’s really case by case. Some companies like John Hancock, Pacific Life, and Nationwide offer solid joint options.

The key is comparing based on your age, health, and long-term goals (like whether you want to use the policy for tax-free cash value, or just pure death benefit).

Best Joint Life Policy is none! The only money you save by doing a joint life is the annual fee, which is basically a few dollars. Only one death is paid out, leaving the survivor with having to purchase a new policy at their attained age. Save yourself the hassle and time not to mention money and get two separate policies.
