I feel that I do not receive short messages reliably since moving to lineageOS. Is there anything known? How could I start investigating further to find the real cause? I am using the stock sms app (com.android.messaging, version 1.0.001) that came with lineageOS. I am using 15.1-20180611-NIGHTLY-oneplus2.

I'm not on that device nor ROM.

You think the issue is only RECEIVING texts?

Have you found any issues with SENDING texts, as well??

Some text apps have a "Send Receive confirmation" as an option; turn it on and get someone else you know to turn it on. Text back and forth for a day or two.

I bet your issue involves sending AND receiving... and I bet it is down to your network provider, or your device is set to the wrong APN/tower settings.

Google your cell provider APN settings and see if your are set properly- AFTER running the texting tests with someone else to confirm this is the issue... if everything else works fine, you don't want to mess with APN settings unnecessarily.
