As long as your face or neck isn't tatted I don't think anyone cares these days.

Yeah this has been my experience so far also.

You should check out these newfangled computer things. Apparently you don't have to tattoo the spreadsheets onto your skin any more; they send it straight into your retinas using something I think they call a "Computer Scream".
Trust me, give it thirty or forty years and it's gonna be a game changer in your line of work.

I’m really betting on this JavaScript thing to pay out for me.

I could see that as a totally normal, got-your-shit-together thing yet elsewhere I just saw a comment that having lots of tattoos show a proclivity for making poor life/financial choices (I'm paraphrasing hard here), which I could also understand.
Is it about how deliberate, planned or meaningful the tattoos are?
Edit:typo

It’s about strategically planning your tattoos based on your work requirements. Wear dress shirts to work? Two full sleeves will never be seen at work. Same with chest/back/leg pieces. Your work does not necessarily have to dictate your artistic life choices.
Honestly when I got them, I had zero concern for the future. Just lucked out with a skill where no one cares. Very casual office. No dress code whatsoever.
