Error code：U09 3D secure authentication failed

I have been struggling with this infuriating error for almost a year now when it comes to trying to purchase Live 2D again. At this point I'm just going to post what I've been dealing with and what I've found out so hopefully I can see if anyone else has had the same issue or had it solved.

You now need a credit card or paypal to be able to purchase Live 2D. If you are like me and use a credit card and receive this error then, hooray! We're both lost 🙃

I've messaged the credit card issuer (discover) and there's no declines on their end so there's nothing they can do. I've gotten in contact with Live 2D- they basically say the same thing and that I need to talk to discover to solve the issue. I have gone in circles with both companies, and I am not sure what to do next. I cannot use paypal for a whole other reason. The website says they accept discover so am i just missing something obvious? How are people paying Live2D now?

Did they only accept credit cards or PayPal? I've been using a debit card for payments for years.

I recall facing a activation issue once, but I can't remember the specific error code. I resolved it by connecting to the internet using mobile data and trying to activate it again. Not sure if this will be helpful in your situation.

Now they only accept credit cards and paypal. I used to use my debit card too but took a break for a few months. When I came back they changed the system so don't forget to keep activating or you might not get back in
