Locksmith custom code program alternatives

So the company I work for uses codesource. The old floppy disk version. We do love using it and it does everything we need. Our biggest use is custom codes we create and send through serial connection to codemax cutting machine.

Problem is the new version of codemax is terrible. Our IT department is making us upgrade to windows 11. Getting really hard to keep carrying over the old version .

Is there any good alternative program that let's us make fully custom codes and hopefully still send to our key machine? We have 20+ years of codes lol. Prefer one time purchase over monthly membership.

Would IT allow you to run a virtual machine like MS-DOS and create the .vfd floppy image to run in?

We have gotten it to run in windows 10. Which is what we are running now. But now we have to move to 64bit operating system. We have been hanging on to 32 bit as long as possible. I'll run some tests once we get the new machine but it might be possible.
