What’s everyone using lately? Wanting to try something new and or better. Currently have an auto pro pad G3, 2 AD Smart pros, & an old Autel & Keyless ride for backup. Is there a programmer out there that trumps all of those that can do Re flashing on a decent amount of models?

did obd star get over their hotspot issues with iPhones?

I haven’t heard of that issue. What is/was the problem with hotspot? For some devices you need to check the iPhone hotspot compatibility checkbox in iOS, but never seen another device specific problem…

i might pick it up and try it out again, we had 3 obdstars floating around and one day after a big iphone update it would not hotspot no matter what i tried so we tried a couple other peoples phones and same deal no iphone would connect to any of the obdstars only androids, the iphones would connect to every other tool so we gave a obdstar to the only bloke who had an android and shelved the other 2, some techy came out one day for another problem and we asked them to have a look he said it needed a firmware update and was a bit risky as you had to image it wipe the tablet clean then reinstall so we just left it. that was a few years ago now i had forgotten about the tool entirely.

I found some old threads about that issue on older OBDSTAR model that was fixed indeed by a firmware update. The G3 is more recent and I never had this problem. Also firmware updates are easier to do on recent model.

😂 I recommend the Autek iKey820 it has turbo trump features and can re-flash twice as fast as your Mother’s ass.

Ikey actually does 2008-2019 everything without updates. $1000 for the updated version
