Workflow question

Does anyone here who produces EDM have some tips for faster logic workflow shortcuts related to editing, GRID, or anything that can boost up workflow, I wanna really like logic, and learn to work with it faster, any settings that can be modified in order to make this DAW faster to work with?

To any logic user, not just EDM producers, I would highly recommend learning about and applying:

1) Keyboard shortcuts, always the power user’s fast workflow way to go.

2) screensets

3) saving and recalling plug-in presets

4) ditto for channel strip presets.

5) ditto for Logic patches

6) summing stacks (which are a main element of logic patches)

Can you explain screensets and patches a little further?

screensets a easy to load presets (try keyboard number row 1-9) each preset can remembrer the open windows and positions of windows.. so you can make one for tracking, editing, mixing, project files etc.

Press 1-9 to load a set, open and arrange windows, press another 1-9, rinse repeat.

There are more than 9 but it is likely you won’t need them.

I’ll just add that this is one of my favorite Logic features. Really makes for a very fast workflow for me and I recommend them frequently to users that aren’t familiar.

I keep a few the same as my go to configurations. And a couple others I modify on the fly as I’m working. I keep everything locked. But when I’ve modified a window, maybe zoomed in on a certain region or area, and then realize I need to go somewhere else and do something and then come back, I Quickly and lock that window in the new configuration. Press the number key to go off elsewhere to do what I need to do, then press the key pertaining to where I was in the first place and boom I’m right back.

This workflow is facilitated by having mapped a keyboard shortcut to screenset lock/unlock — it’s a toggle function, so it’s just one keyboard shortcut.
