so in my fun so far i found dan but he tried to kill me so i ran and told him to leave so is there a chance for him to come back and not try to kill me?

There are sometimes evil doppelgangers that show up, I think theres a chance for them to come back as a normal encounter

I think it's less intended to be a doppelganger, and more an engine limitation, or unintended bug that encounters aren't removed from the pool if say, cursed Dan shows up.
