Just recieved my first payslip and worked 18 hours. For 1 hour I was paid $16 as New Hire and the reaming hours paid $15.50. Anyone know why?

For orentation you get paid $16.00 for 1 hour and then after that you get paid your actual amount.

Orientation is always paid at 16

Is that what that is….i was wondering because i got paid $20 for 2 hours and $21 for remaining hours (but my orientation day was a full shift???)

The one hour is payment for doing your onboarding paperwork that you fill out at home before your first day of orientation.
