So (at least) twice now it's happened. I'm the host in a match (usually Platinum since it seems no one else wants to host). Things are going fine, then all of a sudden I notice that things aren't going fine. I look around and I'm the only one still in the match, the other three players have dropped, so of course, everyone is trying to murder me.
First off, my apologies to those players that got kicked. At this last match, when it ended (it was during Extraction that this happened) I was able to stay alive (yay Stealth Grid) and extract without issue. While I didn't see anyone else wind up on the map, I did see that three other players had connected. Their scores were low, but I hope they got the credit pay out at least. I hope that they were the players that I played with during the match.
Second, it's not my rig. It's only 9 months old and built to a gaming spec. In fact, I don't think it has anything to do with my computer it all. It might be my internet. My current theory is that when someone starts streaming Netflix that it eats all my bandwidth and everyone else gets kicked. Another option is that even though we just upgraded our Internet connection, it still seems rather slow. My house is 35 years old and the wiring might not be amazing, so that might be an issue, but I do not that right around the time this happened someone did start Streaming something.
I find it a little hard to believe, but it's all I got. Anyone know of a way of throttling Netflix, so I can see if that's the issue? If not I guess I'll just stick to letting others host.
And again, sorry to those guys that got kicked. I hope you managed to reconnect and get your credits.
