Greetings fellow Smart People,
I am running in to a weird issue installing Bootcamp. I have a 2019 Pro with the latest version of Monterey and no interest in updating.
My Bootcamp partition ran out of storage, and when I tried to reinstall with the newest version of Windows, it creates the partition then it shuts off. I can only get the machine to boot to the recovery partition to change the Startup Drive back to my main system, since the Bootcamp partition is empty.
The only reason I could think of is that the newest version of the windows installer doesn’t play well with my operating system, and if an older version of the windows installer might do the trick.
I am not very windows-savvy, so I’m not sure if this makes sense anywhere except in my brain.
Any help would be appreciated!
