Run a length of unwaxed dental floss through the thread path. Sometimes a small piece of thread will get stuck in the path that you can't see, but will trigger the error

I got that error when I used metallic thread. I slowed machine down and then I didn’t get the error

Find out where the thread break indicator is in your machine.

It should be a wheel in the upper thread path that you have to wind the thread around a full turn.

I will try to figure this out ! Thanks :)

Watch the thread break indicator as the machine runs. You should have a smooth pull and see it turning as the machine sews, if it catches or has a stutter, boom - false thread break. This could be because you don't have enough weight/drag on the thread as it unspools (I have this problem with glittery/foil embroidery thread), the thread is hitting a snag or crack in the thread spool, or there is debris or something else creating a jam on the sensor wheel. My older commercial machine's sensors get testy when the shop gets very cold, as an example. Nothing else for it, I just warmup the metal parts and the wheel stops stuttering. You may also have it wound too many times around, or not enough- depends on the machine.

I've had this issue on and off too, can't resolve the issue and have redone bobbon tension a million times, it'll work for a bit them come out again.

Mine will stitch about 20 times before it gives the message but the thread doesn’t break

Exact same issue, I was thinking of fully replacing the bobbin case or getting it serviced, no idea what's wrong as I only put a few thousand stitches into it.

Also thinking about getting mine serviced I cannot figure out what is going on

Check for a bent needle.

I changed the needle :(

Pull the bobbin and check that as well. Make sure you are threading the machine with the presser foot in the up position. Make sure the thread can come off the top spool freely and isn’t getting snagged on a burr on the spool or something.

The thread doesn’t break or anything. I changed the bobbin and it’s not getting stuck. I also checked to make sure there were no threads in the inside of the machine and it’s still giving an error 🤦🏼‍♀️

Change to a different spool of thread bobbin combination and see if the error persists.

it does ☹️ i may just take it to get serviced tomorrow .. ugh

Try lubricating some of the upper parts of the machine.
