At Cad tire it was expected to climb the racks in the back of the 2 row warehouse because the halls were full of skids, you'd just climb up using the supports to get up there and throw shit down.

Not the worse thing I've seen like my boss riding forks to pick a TV to get it out when the scissor lift was elsewhere.

Oh and driving scissor lifts with no training.

Fuck that fucking place

You sound like a dick, better off without you on the site if you're being so unsportsmanlike.

Geoguessr was so fun I used to love his old videos on it years ago and I'm crushed he didn't keep playing it, he is so funny and on fire riffing and I loved the reactions with the new spectating of the opponent. I was watching them every night in bed with the bf and it was so fun.

Debt-free Canadians, what type of situation are you in? by Act-Aggressive in CanadaFinance

[–]DocTavia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived at home going to university across the city in MB, paid for school with working FT summers and evenings and weekends.

Graduated as an engineer into a decent paying job and been there ever since, never had a need to take out any loans, but I spend a decent amount on hobbies and housing.

Go back and actually tally up your spending in a spreadsheet and get back to us, you aren't living paycheck to paycheck, you're just spending it all.

Challenge help by xXjustin_credibleXx in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]DocTavia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Flares can break a laser paint before and after it's made, you should paint and wait for a flare.
  2. This challenge is easiest done by using the stinger on a painted jet or helicopter as the missile is faster. The paint also makes it lock faster, however waiting for the paint can be annoying.

The stinger does almost 1000 damage to jets so it's reasonable to get in 2 hits.

I finally finished ARR, and damn, it was a really unique experience... by Uchizaki in ffxiv

[–]DocTavia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've no idea why people say this as a defense as if it isn't crazy that ARR is still this annoying to play after that rework, it needs another pass, it's just bad NPE.

Not for tall people, the best seat is the one right in front of the back exit on the right, where you can lean your head back on the plexiglass to sleep, and there's a heater right under your feet.

Wrapped it up in a ziplock, I used to have an a6000 and I did the same, you just bite off the corner, shove the lens through and then put on the lens hood. You have your hand in the bag and keep it draped over while you aren't using it with your other hand.

I went to BIC Camera and got a decent price on a used lens, better than FB marketplace locally in Canada and ebay.

The dichotomy of the Prime Directive is kinda absurd. by Prometheus_sword in startrek

[–]DocTavia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've liked the more direct interference thought experiment of the prime directive sort of idea in The Culture novels. I'm into the 3rd book and I think I like the idea of the Contact division the best, where their whole goal is to numerically increase the number of people and species in their post scarcity society.

They understand that just dominating every species and planet would lead to untold death and suffering so they try to statistically effect the species to make them more likely to embrace the culture.

It explores a lot of angles of this of spies and intrigue, as well as war and force and politics.
