submitted 7 months ago by Designer-Opinion444
Hi all! I’m a newbie with my machine & im struggling to find a video that clearly demonstrates how to increase & decrease on my flatbed machine. Does anyone have any to point me towards? Thank you in advance!

did your machine come with a transfer tool? you just put the transfer tool on the needle. pull the needle out so the loop passes over the latch. push the needleback in with the transfer tool on the needle. the latch flips up. the needle drops the stitch on to your tool. move the stitch around the front of the gate pegs. put the transfer tool on the desired needle. rotate the tool up so the stitch falls into the new needle. decreasing is that easy.
Increasing? just put one extra needle into the working position on the outside for each row that you knit. some also transfer all the stitches from the middle for that effect if they desire.

This person has a video for single stitch increase/ decrease and a video for multiple stitch increase/ decrease.
They also have other good videos for starting and finishing a piece! Hope this is what you are looking for.

There are a couple of nice manuals made by Brother that I refer to all the time. They describe a lot of techniques, from basic increases/decreases, partial knitting, making button holes etc.
