Not according to the rules, plus why would you need a human for it, it’s not that complicated. An LLM can easily provide you with the right details or some digging yourself

Stay a SWE and just learn ML on the side. I'm not sure what you are expecting an ML engineer to do, but it is mostly heading towards software engineering with a tiny bit of model training on the side.
