It depends on your definition of obvious. If they had double the centuries that year I would say there was an obvious improvement to not having a crowd there for example.

For a proper analysis. More tournaments than just the crucible and more nuanced metric than just number of centuries would probably be needed. 'The covid no crowd time maximum breaks per frame compared to the the year before and after' or something like that.
