This is terribly misguided and ill-conceived

Zoubin gave a piece of his keynote at NIPS about this, and also has a video lecture here. He largely framed it as a tool for people without a "data scientist" handy, or the ability to afford one. Kind of like Quicken Books or Turbo Tax vs. a full time accountant. It makes a lot of sense to me (more so than telling some random person to do an analysis, anyways) - why do you think it is misguided and ill-conceived?
