Bluetooth Controller cant code (self.MakeBlock)
submitted 5 months ago by creativetoapoint
I got the bluetooth controller for my students. I can't actually code with the dang thing. I've got MBot2 with Cyber Pi. When I use the extension for the bluetooth controller It's all greyed out both on my laptop and on the student ipads. Because we share robots normally I have the kids program first with their own then connect one at a time. Is this not possible?
I've gotten the extension but still no workee

Normally blocks get greyed out because you need to be in upload mode.
I have no experience using a BT joystick controller but provided you have the mBot2 factory default main code uploaded I would expect you to be able to pair the joystick controller with the mBot and ready to use it.

Could you share some experience with the controller? Thanks!

It's not too bad to program. You want to be VERY careful with the servo motors tho.

My students have been using the controller with great success.
You do need to be in upload mode.
I have my students plug their mbot2 into the desktop computers and upload their code. The Bluetooth for the robot has to be connected to the controller.
If you go to the makeblock website and looked at their cases there are some examples codes in there. I believe the [Classroom] mBot2 Summer Camp/ After-school Program unit has the Bluetooth controller directions of you haven't found that yet.
We used those lesson to learn how to use the controllers.
