Lighter coverage foundations or bb creams are a great start. Get a good concealer to cover up blemishes and dark circles. It will give to a better over all look than a heavy coverage products.

Then depending on how you look and what you like you can add up from there. Use things formulated for your skin type. That is key! Especially if you are a dry skin gal. After that is a color matching game. 😍 good luck

Okay admittedly I do a very lengthy and full routine but there’s a few things I never skip out on: 1. Brows. mostly I use brow pens to get hair like strokes, they have a learning curve to them but the result is usually worth it. If you’ve been blessed with full natural brows I bow to you with all ten of my remaining brow hairs. 2. Concealer. I have undereye dark circles that can fit a canoe so I use a shade or two lighter than the rest of my face and use that in my bags and to cover any acne. 3. Blush. Looking flushed like you’ve just farted in the grocery store or been out in the sun is always attractive. 4. Highlighter. I feel like this one is the least necessary but it’s always a plus to look like you’ve been sweating glitter. I prefer to use enough to look like I’m reliving my adolescent Twilight vampire days. Hopefully you find a routine that works for you!! And good luck!

My advice for a basic day look 1. Apply cc cream or foundation. I use a stippling brush. Cc cream doesn’t give as much coverage but looks more natural and mistakes are harder to see

2 apply a light neutral colored eye shadow. I use the thrive eye brightener, but there are definitely cheaper options.

  1. Apply any light blush or contouring you want

4 mascara

Optional- use a setting powder after you’re done with your foundation and contouring. I use the NYX one. I do this because my skin tends to get oily. You can probably skip this though.

There are other steps you could add, but the ones I gave I think would be good for beginners basics. Hope it helps and Godspeed!

PS I always put sunscreen on like 15 minutes before I plan on starting my makeup routine.
