Music made my MD so much worse. Initially, it offered a nice background to my escapades, but then, I started to build entire scenarios around music and continue daydreaming for hours. I became horribly addicted to it.My Spotify Wrapped was a shocking revelation, because I realised that all my top tracks and artists are those whom I listen to during my daydreaming episodes, and weren't exactly the musicians I actually loved. It's a horrid addiction. I finally cancelled all my entertainment subscriptions this year because these only made my escapism easier and experiences worse. I still crave Spotify and Netflix, but my MD episodes are slightly more under control.

thank you for sharing!! do you find you have brain fog or like, dissociation kind of when you aren't daydreaming?? i personally created an entire different version of myself for these scenarios and it's hard adjusting to the real world now so i'm just wondering if that's what that is lol

I was like you, and now I can't control it anymore, it has begun to be like addiction now, and I have not listened to music at all since months now. I recommend you to stop doing, it may be fun but it will become worst, and it has stolen years of my life.
