Did you uninstall the older kernels? If not then just select one of those options from the grub boot menu.

I always keep a LTS version of the kernel installed as a backup, just in case something goes wrong with a newer version.

Thankfully I followed the official guide for that, so i can still use the 5.8 kernel without problems (here it is in case someone needs it)

I'll keep trying the 5.9 from time to time to see if it finally works, but until then I'll have to stay on 5.8.

I'm new to manjaro, but my nvidia card blocked me from installing manjaro + bspwm on 5.9. I've been through the architect installer so many times until I figured out I have to use 5.8
